Brooks Brothers got some inspiration from Baz Luhrmann’s movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby and created a new line of clothing based on the costumes from the film. Interestingly, the author of The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald, was a life-long Brooks Brothers customer. This further makes America’s oldest clothier a perfect partner for the filmmakers. In fact, a majority of the 500 men’s costumes featured in the new film were inspired by images from the company’s archives. This adds a period-specific authenticity to the film and helps bring F. Scott Fitzgerald’s masterpiece to life in 3D. Brooks Brothers took it a step further and created a special collection that is available for purchase both in stores and online.
