This week Mercedes Benz (unofficially) unveiled another AMG performance line variant from its stables, this time coming in SUV form. Feast your eyes on the all new 2017 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4Matic Coupé. The GLC 43 Coupe is a new crossover that appeals to drivers who seek the utility of a compact SUV with a sportier look. And now offered with some added performance. Like other 43 AMG models, it can be considered a sort of an in-between model that bridges the gap between a standard production Mercedes and the full-bore AMGs of the world.

The GLC43 Coupé is equipped with a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 and is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. This package produces 362 horsepower and 382 lb-ft of torque and will send you to from 0-60 mph in just 4.8 seconds, while the top speed is an electronically limited 155 mph. Mercedes AIRMATIC air suspension also comes standard, which allows extended ride height for those occasional off-road excursions. Mercedes says that this suspension is a unique combination of agility, elegance and everyday practicality.

On the outside you will notice the beautiful AMG appearance package, front and rear bumpers look sportier and the 21″ AMG wheels really make this new machine looks pretty sinister when finished in black. The rest of the details include larger brakes with four-piston fixed calipers at the front and one-piston floating calipers at the rear, and a quad “look” sports exhaust.

Stepping inside you will find a luxurious interior with sport seats trimmed in MB-Tex and Dinamica microfiber with red stitching, along with and a flat-bottomed, multi-function steering wheel with the same color combination. We also noticed the gauge cluster has a checkered-flag face to them that really hammer the sport theme home.

The GLC43 Coupe will be officially unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show on September 28th and will be available in the US early next year. And if that’s still not enough performance for you, , we hear a GLC63 is on the way with a twin-turbo V8 and the full-on AMG treatment. We can’t wait!
