What To Drink Now: Diving Into Hampton Water Rosé Wine

Summer wine drinking has a particular hue. Pink. Many have embraced the popular saying, “Rosé all day,” in terms of the desire to consume this wine all the time. Pink wines have come to symbolize “all that is good about summertime,” according to Vanity Fair. Rosé wine is synonymous with laid-back days and convivial nights. (Sound good to you? It does to us!)

Diving Into Hampton Water, $25
It’s a French wine but it’s named after the Hamptons. It’s backed by American rock star royalty and it’s made by an award-winning French winemaker.

Diving Into Hampton Water, a collaboration between Gérard Bertrand and rocker Jon Bon Jovi, has just started hitting shelves across the East Coast.

Hampton Water is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre and Syrah; before bottling, the wine sits in French oak for 30 days, leading to an elegant finish not usually found in youthful wines.

This is a medium-bodied wine. It’s fruity and it’s dry. It’s aged in French oak, so you get that oak on the back end.

Highly Rated
Wine Spectator 90
“A nicely crafted rosé, with a hint of creamy richness lining the strawberry, melon and white cherry flavors. A dash of minerality imparts depth through the long, mouthwatering finish. A crowd-pleaser. Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Drink now. 35,000 cases made.”

What others are saying:
“Clean and fresh, with bursts of bright red fruit flavors (cherries, strawberries, and watermelon), balanced acidity, a touch of minerality and a long, dry and refreshing finish. I can’t remember the last time I reached for a second or even a third, glass of a rose. Pairs with just about anything!” -Winery Notes
